General Information

I was born on April 19, 1939 in Denver Colorado. During my early childhood I lived in several Colorado small towns such as Platner, Akron and Yuma.

In 1948 I moved to York, Nebraska. At the time, the population of York was about 6,500. While in York, I attended the York Public Schools.

In 1953 I moved to a farm just north of York, near Thayer, Nebraska. In 1957 I graduated from the Thayer Public Schools and in August of 57 I joined the Navy to see the world.

I was in the Navy for four years, 1957 through 1961. The ship I was stationed on as a Sonarman 2nd Class, was the USS Haynsworth, DD700 out of Norfolk, VA.

When I was discharged from the Navy in 1961 I moved to Syracuse, NY. Syracuse is where I met my wife Martha. We now have three children (all adults) and nine grand children.

During my early years in Syracuse I had a few reasonably good jobs. However, my most rewarding and exciting job was with Motorola Inc. I started with Motorola in 1971. During my career with Motorola I worked in the Land Mobile Division Regional Group, State and Local Government Group and the Education Market Group. In 1984, I moved in to the Radio Common Carrier Group (Area X) of Motorola. I remained in RCC Group until I retired from Motorola in 1997 after 26 years of service.

At the moment, I am just enjoying my retirement, taking it easy and riding my motorcycle.
